I read this book on the suggestion of my friend Larry. He co-owned an optical lab, "Northwest Optical" in Indianapolis now defunct!
Larry was/is ah good guy! Told me some shit about Fatherhood that got me through some rough times! He had this type of 'Fuck it! I've seen it all type of shit!' but still was able tah engage with you!
I remember he said something that I carry with me to this day! We were talking about children and children living in two individual parent households! He said,
"Meredith! I'm being serious with you. Okay? Never let any mother fucker tell you how to be a Father if you know your shits straight!"
God damn! Anyway...
I forget thah name of thah book! But it was about compartmentalizing your thoughts!...
It's made all of the difference in thah world tah me!
"And you can't remember the name of the book?!"
