Well Soled? II

 I told my office manager what my wife said,

"Listen man? If you're not going to wear those shoes? We need tah do something about them jUSt collecting dust on the boxes in the closet!"

'Oh, that's why I've never seen those pair of shoes before. I knew they were new. But I like them a lot,' my office manager said.

'Were you shoe deprived as a child or something?" My office manager asked me.

Yeah! It was twelve of US and I was thah last, of course you knew that, my parents didn't have money to buy US new shoes all of the time! They USed tah buy US Buddies.

'Oh, I understand now. But, Buddies? What's that?' my office manager asked.

Generic, fake "All Star Converse" tennis shoes without the star on the side back in the day! They had this hard sole of some type of rubber plastic type of thing going on for the tread or sole! Came in various colors with always white soles and the upper made of canvas. We'd try our best to wear them out so that maybe we could get some real "All Star Converse" in white of course.

'Oh, we called those generic fake type of tennis shoes in New Jersey, just tennis shoes,' my office manager retorted. 

And we both started laughing!...
