Then just as suddenly he slammed on his brakes. He saw movement out of his right side and addressed it and saw Maebe flying out of the home yelling, "Don't? Don't? Please...Just don't?!" Crying now, flopping down on the front lawn looking at him forlornly. He backed up. Put the vehicle in park and began to weep horribly. A few seconds later he heard the passenger side dooor open. Then felt warm arms engulfing him and her saying over and over, "I'm so sorry. Please forgive me! Please forgive me." Which made him weep even more because he'd already forgiven her. He just had a hard problem with that forgetting part and the constant intrusive ill visions of her doing what she did. He didn't know what to do with that! And that, yes, made him cry even harder. While Maebe continued to hold on to him warmly....
