__Ester?

She was older than me. Sixty-seven years old. She had a walker. One of those that rolled and it had a place in the middle of the two hand rungs to sit. When I had taken her eyeglass order we were talking about different things.

Then I said, 'Okay __ester you don't owe anything. Just initial, initial, sign and date. Now, it will take up to fourteen days to get your glasses back from the lab. Now, is a text okay when they arrive?  Or do we have to call you?'

"No. A text is fine. But I would like to commend you of the only person that has ever first met me to pronounce my name right! I've done heard: Molester, Dexter, Polexter...I told my Mother until her passing, "Why in the world would you name me something like__ester?!"

'You need to quit it!? Because your Mother knew you were special. I've ran across a heck of a lot of patients' names! And can't witness not one time a name like yours has ever crossed my memory. So you need tah quit it?! You're special. Now is a text fine or do we have to physically call you Sonshine?' I said. I liked her.

"No! Text is fine. And do you know that's what she always said to me, "Because, you are special!"? Do you know I was in the hospital for a whole year? Still figuring out, how to walk and now I'm here? Kindah walkin?"...

(Peace! More to come...)
