He Didn't Think To Bring His Walking Shoes II

Like usual, the day had been stressful, not fun at all. The place where he started working was going through a transitional period. The doctor who had owned the optical practice had sold the practice to a company buying up private optical practices nationwide. In his time there, only three months now, he realized the doctor wasn't really ready to sell. The doctor still giving information to patients about the way the doctor ran the practice not how the new corporate ownership wanted it run. The doctor was still hanging on to days gone by that were now almost eighteen months sold away. Which made his days hard every single working day, for the past three months, had been trying to say the least.

He had clocked out, like his other three team members at the end of their shifts. All going to their perspective vehicles to return blessedly home, or maybe not. But for him home was his sanctuary. But today it was different. He had gotten into his vehicle. Put the key into the ignition. And just stopped without turning the key to start the engine. He just stayed in his quiet environment, stared vacantly out of his front windshield, sat there and began to just think aimlessly....

(Peace! More to come...)
